When Michelle Wie walks onto the course later this spring, she will have gotten there by the intervention of a company, her PR company. The William Morris Agency has represented her since she came into the pro sport when she was a teenager. Now she’s decided to start somethign new with a new PR company. Signing with IMG, she expects to start fresh and get a new feeling for the game. But she doesn’t seem to have had any problems with William Morris, but just wanted to switch. She’s changed a lot about her game and had a lot of interest in changing her style of swing and get over her more recent injuries. Keep an eye on this one for a special season this year.

Yani Tseng wins LPGA championship in her rookie year

Yani Tseng got her name etched in the golf record books as she became the youngest player in the history of the game to win a LPGA championship when she overcame the stiff challenge of Maria Hjorth in the sudden death playoff last Sunday. This is the rookie year for the 19 year old Tseng and she had to wade off the challenges of number one player Lorena Ochoa on her way to the playoffs. Tseng is very much excited about winning the LPGA championship in her rookie year and attributed her success to her deep concentration and determination. Golf fans will be surely buying tickets to watch Tseng play in future tournaments. 

Michelle Wie says “Yes” to German Open

American golfer Michelle Wie is set to wow the crowd at the German Open in Munich this week after she accepted a sponsor’s invitation to graze the event with her presence and to try her hand at winning a trophy. The 18 year old avid golfer suffered from a hurt wrist in March, rendering her unable to perform her best at any tournament. Her studies in Stanford University also hindered her golf and as a result she merely attended two Ladies European Tour tournaments this year. However, she is glad to be back on track and vows to do her best.
