Boo Weekley managed to defend his first PGA title, winning the $5.5 million dollar Heritage Classic merely by firing a par 71 during last Sunday’s game. The American golfer showed the crowd what he was made of when he took the lead with three marvelous strokes. Ironically, spectators boo-ed loudly as a show of support, not in jest, to reflect Weekley’s unusual first name. He dove through the round of five birdies and five bogeys to complete the blustery Sunday game on 15-under par 269. Surprisingly, he commented that he was not at his best and did not hit optimally well.
