After shooting a 70 (2 under par) Friday during the second round of the Australian Masters, Tim Clark of South Africa has a one stroke lead over the competition. Combined with his sensation play on Thursday, in which he shot five under par, Clark is sitting comfortably while going into Saturday. It’s certainly not the driver’s seat that he’s occupying but his confidence level is very high and he has a little wiggle room. Learn more about the Australian Masters and click here.

In Hong Kong this past Sunday, Taiwan’s Lin Wen-Tang was able to capture the Hong Kong Open during a playoff round against Rory Mcllroy of Ireland. Though he was faced with a difficult shot from the rough, Lin was able to drive the ball gracefully through a thicket of trees and land within six feet of the pin. Tying the first hole of the playoff round forced the second hole, which Lin won. Learn more about the miraculous playoff round at pga.com.

Jeev Milkha Singh has won in Singapore! He was up against some of the best in the game, but it didn’t work out for them, and he was able to take advantage at the same time. Phil Mickelson was doing well at the beginning of the week, but faded at the end of the tournament. Another golfer, Padraig Harrington, was really in the hunt towards the end, but just barely missed the putt at the end of the tournament, the ball just rolling over the edge of the cup. The end of the tournament was sweet for Singh, saying “The golfing gods must’ve been with me.” This is his first win in awhile and he was obviously very pleased with it.

Davis Love III has been named the Player of the Month for October and November. He has been very successful the last few weeks. Love started off October by tying for third at the Turning Stone Resort Championship and getting $244,714. He missed the cut at the Valero Texas Open but came back to tie for sixth at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, a finish good enough to earn him another $142,475. I mean, for anyone, this would be a good time. For a name that you don’t actually hear all that often in golf, then it is a great 6 week period. He also tied for 11th at the Ginn sur Mer Classi and won the Children’s Miracle Network Classic at the end of the Fall Series. Congrats to him!

In the opening round of the tourney, Stiles easily hit 13 of 14 fairways and 17 of 18 greens in regulation, placing him at a cool score of 64. He currently holds the leader spot with a one stroke lead over playing partner Jeff Klauk. Though he’s happy with his performance, he knows he has a lot of work to do to keep Klauk from overtaking his number one spot. Ryan Palmer was behind early in competition at the PGA Tour Ginn sur Mer Classic, but he won, earning himself a Tour exemption. He had had to call a penalty on himself and bogeyed and double-bogeyed in the 11th and 12th holes. But his clutch hit on the 18th gave him a birdie and a clear win. There was a 4 way tie for 2nd place and other players were quite bunched up. The final tournament is next week at Disney, which should be a good tournament. Many of the best golfers are out there and it should be a very impressive competition for them.
