John Daly: Busted!

Golfer John Daly was arrested and put in a cell for being publicly intoxicated outside a local Hooters restaurant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The police said that he was being very uncooperative and downright mean at the time of his arrest. He was forced to leave the restaurant, which he refused, and then lost consciousness when he did leave. As he was being worked on, he refused to be taken to the hospital for treatment. They put him in a cell to sober up for a 24 hour period. What will this do to his image? It’s not clear, but probably nothing good. His image isn’t all that rosy to begin with. In addition, people don’t usually like it when public figures do dopey things like get really drunk in public. But it happens and many of them get past it just fine. The important thing, of course, is that he’s ok in the end.
