Tiger Woods will be out of golf courses for a month due to a knee surgery performed on his left knee to correct the cartilage damage. The legendary player has undergone the second surgery on the same knee within five years. The operation was performed by Thomas Rosenberg, who did the first surgery in December 2002 at the Park City in Utah. Woods will have to miss some of the prestigious tournaments like Players Championship this year but he is hopeful that he will be able to play the U.S Open which will start from June 12th at Torrey Pines.

Tiger Woods is confident that he will be able to handle the situation as he has gone through this process earlier also. The Swing Coach of Woods Hank Haney said that though Woods was having lot of trouble with his knee, it didn’t affect his play a bit. The PGA tour event commissioner said that he is disappointed as Woods will not be able to compete in some PGA golf events.
