Matt Jones from Sydney is trying hard for the first U.S PGA title win. He is very hopeful about his victory after he was able to create a lead in the third round of Honda Classic match in Florida. This Australian rookie is just 27 and got entry to the final round, along with the classy English player Luke Donald and Mark Calcavecchia of America. He was able to put a good show at the last group play at Palm Beach Gardens at the PGA national Course. Jones has made tremendous improvement after his nation wide tour in 2007. He has determined to play more aggressively, as there are many able players competing for the title.
Jones is a very calm player with his own style. His relaxed nature and love for the game is appreciated even by famous golfers. The commentator Johnny Miller was very impressed about his play and spoke brightly about his swing and identified him as a serious threat to other players in the final round. Jones started the play in second place and struggled a bit with two bogeys but came back to the game with the birdie in 12th and 18th holes. Jones is re-affirmed about his chances in PGA after his performance in this week.
