Tiger wins Dubai Desert Classic
Author: Jeremy | Category: UncategorizedSince the beginning of 2006, Tiger has been ranked as the number one player when playing outside the US. He won the Buick International a week ago with an eight putt advantage. The next week, he was playing in another tournament and came back from a four shot deficit and made a couple very impressive shots to get back in the rankings. This all serves to intimidate his opponents and make him seem tougher than he really is. He says he is just happy to win the tournaments.
It was a tricky putt to get it to go down the hill and make a curve toward the hole. Tiger did it like it was nothing to it. He got birdies for several holes and started his season with the Dubai Desert win plus several others. He had also won this tournament in 2006 as well. This year, he has one four official games. He did get a ball in the rough, but managed to come back in future holes to get his par back down again to bring home the win. The leader board for the Dubai Tournament was as follows: Woods, Kaymer, Els, Oosthuizen, and McDowell. He has until next Friday to decide if he would like to join the Northern Trust Open in Riviera, but it is thought he probably won’t return until the Accenture match in Arizona on February 20.
